Retalliata Engineering Center at Illinois Institute of Technology
Chicago, Illinois

This transformation of an existing classroom building into the academic center for the Armour College of Engineering was made possible by a grant from the estate of former University President John T. Rettaliata. A master plan for the entire building was prepared with an initial construction phase including new prototypes for Interactive Teaching and Distinctive Education initiatives. New skylights in a new central atrium create areas for collaborative study. A new steel and glass canopy marks the entry to the building.
